“Born to a savage tribe in the Clan Duinor, This cleric was raised in a war-loving society. During the traditional “coming of age” test, where one must kill and skin a bear, Alain was badly mauled while chasing a grizzly bear. As he lay there, slowly drifting out of counsiousness, he began to see a softly glowing light. The incarnation of chaos; Kord, slowly came out of the light and drifted down towards him. bending down, she whispered secrets to him. Terrible secrets of the universe’s workings, enough to drive any man insane. When he shook himself out of the stupor, the secrets faded, like memories of a waking dream he dragged himself back to the village, his sole thought to escape the bear, and the haunting spirit, Khord. Returning to the village in disgrace, he was banished, and forced to walk the land haunted by Kord’s secrets. After doctoring his wounds, the scars slowly formed into the embalm of Khord, permanently marking him. Going to the ends of the earth to cleanse the secrets from his mind and the markings off his chest, he chased any and all possible cures. Slowly, he became obsessed with healing magic, but was eventually kicked out of the clerical guild for “questionable” practices. Despite all of this, he is afraid of combat, because Kord’s commands become stronger as the adrenaline pumps through his bloodstream; However, if he gets close enough to an enemy he can whisper Kord’s secrets to them, inflicting madness upon them.
